Congratulations! Soon you will join the ranks of Urbana graduates of the University of Illinois. The Alumni Association applauds you for this important milestone.

As a University of Illinois graduate, you are automatically a member of the University of Illinois Alumni Association. If you update your personal information, including your new e-mail address, we will send you periodic e-newsletters and special notices to keep you up to date on what is happening on campus and inform you of Illinois events in your local area. You can update your personal information at www.uiaa.org. Just click on "update Your Info" at the top of the page.

Don't wait for your @illinois.edu account to expire. The Alumni Association offers a free, Web-based e-mail account available when you register at www.illinoisalumni.org. Your account will have the @illinoisalumni.org domain name and includes virus protection, spam filtering and numerous options for customization.

Your University offers two excellent ways to connect with fellow alumni, faculty and students.

• Always Illinois is a virtual community exclusively for the Illinois family that allows you to renew and maintain lifelong friendshps in a secure online community. You can network and search for career opportunities and create and join groups representing your college and department and student and alumni organizations. Explore https://www.alwaysillinois.org to learn more.

• The Online Directory is your definitive resource for locating and contacting fellow alumni. With listings for more than 550,000 alumni, this searchable directory allows you to look for individuals by name, city or state, college or class year. The Directory is available through a secure site at https://www.uiaaconnect.org.

Members of the Alumni Association who elect to make a voluntary dues payment of $50 or more per year are designated Sustaining Members and may take advantage of a number of premium services.

• Lifetime career services via the Alumni Career Center. You can access extensive job database files, get help with your resume, network, participate in professional development seminars and receive personalized career advising. For more information, see www.uiaa.org/careers.

• No-cost online access to more than 4,000 magazines, newspapers, scientific and professional journals, and trade publications. It's a service called ABN/INFORM Complete® - a comprehensive periodicals database powered by the online provider ProQuest. This service is the result of a partnership with the University Libraries. To access it, go to www.uiaa.org/proquest.

• In addition, we'll also send you Illinois Alumni magazine, the official alumni publication for Urbana-Champaign graduates, to keep you informed about the accomplishments of the campus and fellow alumni.
