Use this as a springboard to identify 2-3 issues you believe to be most important at the UIUC campus. E-mail your top issues to Lakeisha Johnson (lrjohnso@uiuc.edu) by Tues 10/1; we'll discuss at our next meeting. Also review the Commitment to Action form at the end of the document. Let's use this as a guide for some of our activities this year.
  6. Recap of Meeting with Chancellor, Kathleen Pecknold, and Kathryn Anthony on 9/19/02
    1. One of the Chancellor's top issues for CCSW concerns the need for flexible appointment structures, such as part-time tenure-track positions for faculty, and similar kind of opportunities for academic professionals and staff at UIUC. Such positions can benefit both women and men. We can analyze national trends, identify how such positions are structured, how candidates are evaluated, etc. and prepare a document specifying what future action must be taken. Committee member delegated: _______________________
    2. Another is the need to follow up on our mentoring initiative of 2002-03. Notify units of the completion of the CCSW mentoring report and inform them of what they need to do. Establish a website at the Provost's office about mentoring programs. Follow up to ensure units are accountable for the success of these programs. Committee member delegated: Kathleen Pecknold.
